Chowderfest
No decision has been made about Chowderfest 2020. There is a chance that it will go on but they are waiting for the ok from the state.
One of the best things about Fall in Beach Haven is the Chowderfest. The Merchant's Mart is held on Saturday - a great time to stock up on T shirts and sweats and beachy things for your house. Sunday is the actual Chowder Fest. A tradition with many families and groups of friends, the Chowder Fest is held in a big tent at Bay Village with white chowder booths on one side and red on the other. You go from booth to booth sampling the chowder and before you leave you vote for your favorite. The winning Chowders have bragging rights for the year. Even if you aren't a chowder lover it's a fun day with big crowds, live music and (almost always) great weather.
Check out the links below for more information and pictures of last year's festival.

Bay Village
For shopping, dining, ice cream or just a great place to wander around - head to Bay Village. Cute shops, great food (try Bistro 14 for lunch with a view of the Bay) and of course, fudge!

Viking Village
While you're in Barnegat Light visiting "Old Barney" stop and visit the historic area of Viking Village. A commercial fishing village established more than 80 years ago it is still home to a commercial fishing fleet and the quaint shacks now house retail stores offering clothing, antiques and collectibles.

Barnegat Lighthouse
"Old Barney" is located on the northern end of the island in Barnegat Light State Park. It makes a terrific destination for a not great beach day. You can climb the lighthouse, walk along the sea wall and stop at Kelly's for lunch or ice cream.

The Gables
Elegant and relaxing - a great combination.

The Chicken or the Egg
Open 24 hours - breakfast anytime. The C'hegg is a Beach Haven must.
